Another great weekend for our young star, Lyra Medlock, who won Gold at the British Sprint Championships in W12 at Bath Unversity, and Silver in the British Middle Championships on Stock Hill – a very technical area, as many of you will know.

And just to show how good Lyra has become, she’s recently been invited to join and train with the South West Junior Squad. So well done, Lyra. And I’m sure it won’t be long before her younger sister, Esk, will be getting medals too.

There were some other good results at the British Sprints for WSX members:

Peter  – 11th M40A;  Jolyon – 6th M40B; Rob – 11th M55B.

At the SOC event at Millyford Bridge on Saturday, there were quite a few top-10 results:

Light Green: Tina 5th; Arthur 7th; Bill 12th and Kay 15th.

Blue: Jon 3rd and Roger 4th.

FINAL REMINDER: it’s not too late to let me know if you’re coming to the AGM/Quiz this Friday.

Another date for the diary: I’m hoping to organise another Bowls/Meal evening on October 19th. It was great fun last time. I just need to check if Il Gatto Nero is open for business as that’s where we went for a meal after the bowls.
